La chanson interprétée par Anita Dobson sort le 12 décembre 1987 en 45 tours et maxi 45 tours, elle figurera sur l’album Talking Of Love (1988).
A l’origine Brian May avait commencé à écrire la chanson pour Queen en 1984, le groupe souhaitant sortir leur chanson de Noël, mais c’est la chanson que Roger Taylor proposa qui fut choisie, le titre « Thank God it’s Christmas » sera crédité à Roger et Brian.
Trois ans plus tard, c’est donc Anita Dobson qui interprète le titre de Brian « I Dream Of Christmas », titre sur lequel on retrouve bien sur Brian à la guitare mais aussi John Deacon à la basse, ils sont accompagnés par le The Langdon School Choir.
Le single a été vendu au profit de The Save The Children Fund
