Le 14 décembre 2012, Kerry Ellis et Brian May sortent en maxi 45 tours Picture disc leur reprise du titre Born Free. Le titre a été proposé en téléchargement le 12 novembre 2012. La maxi 45 tours sortira en édition limitée de 1000 exemplaires.

La chanson a été composée en 1966 par John Barry et Don Black. Elle fut interprétée par Matt Monro, elle est la chanson-titre du film Born Free, mettant en vedette Virginia McKenna OBE et Bill Travers, film qui raconte l’histoire de la sortie d’Elsa, lionne orpheline, dans la nature. Inspirés par leur expérience au Kenya, Virginia et Bill vont ensuite fonder la « Born Free Foundation« .
